Brian Oglesbee is an artist, teacher and photographer, as well as a designer of studio lighting and set-building equipment. Oglesbee's large-format photographs, elaborate and dramatically lit illusionist images created in the studio, are widely exhibited. A monograph, Aquatique, was recently published by Insight Editions. His work combining the figure and natural elements in the studio inspired director Julie Taymor in the conception of her recent movie, The Tempest.
