John Neel, MFA Visual Studies Workshop 1993 is a fine art photographer, experimental imagemaker, artist, graphic designer and adjunct instructor of new media and digital photography. He received his Master’s Degree from the Visual Studies Workshop. John's work has been exhibited and collected by public and private galleries in the United States and Canada, including the George Eastman House Rochester, NY, SUNY, Visual Studies Workshop, Rochester, NY, The Memorial Art Gallery, Rochester, NY, and the Art Gallery of Ontario. He was featured as a Polaroid Gallery Artist. His photographs and computer art images have been published in the US, Canada and Europe. John has taught photography, digital imaging and digital animation classes at the Rochester Institute of Technology, State University of New York, Visual Studies Workshop, Rochester, NY, Nazareth College, Rochester, NY, Sheridan College (Ontario, Canada) as well as other universities and colleges in the US and Canada. John worked for Eastman Kodak for thirteen years as a Graphic Designer and holds at least seven Kodak patents in digital imaging. While his interests have led him toward electronic technologies, his foremost
passion is photography. John lives in Rochester, New York.
