"Photographs are, by nature, documentary, and have an implied narrative, even if it is completely artificial, not found. The medium lends the image a sense of verisimilitude. I frequently construct environments to place my subjects in – including creating ambiguous spaces for them to occupy – inviting the viewer to supply their own interpretation of the actions."
