The Media Center supports film- and video-making through its low-cost equipment rental to independent producers and members of the community, training workshops and its screening and exhibition programs. The facilities include SONY Hi-8 and 3 chip digital video cameras, Hi-8 to SVHS off-line editing systems, a film editing suite with a 16mm flatbed editor; a Macintosh-based computerlab for digital video editing and digital multimedia.

WORKSHOPS AND SPECIAL EVENTS/MONTHLY SCREENINGS
Weekend and special workshops are offered on an ongoing basis as are Media access and residency programs for artists and independent producers.

SMARTfest Student Media Arts Festival
The festival is open to students of all ages working in time-based media.

THE REGRANT PROGRAM: offers a stipend and 50 hours of edit time in the digital lab.SERVICES: 16mm to video transfers, equipment package rental, multi format dubbing.
