Crissy Welzen is originally from the Chicago area where her love for painting began. In 1995 she moved to Oakland to pursue painting at the California College of Arts. While there she discovered a passion for photography, specifically landscapes, and ended up with a degree in fine art photography. Welzen moved to Rochester in 2001, and works for 21st Editions, a small publisher of handmade limited edition fine art photography books.
